UPDATE: We recently received word that Mr. Bartley passed away as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.
Liberty City, TX — A man was injured when a vehicle ran a red light and collided with his vehicle in Liberty City, Texas, on Friday, June 13, 2014. The accident took place at the intersection of Highway 135 and Farm to Market Road 1252.
According to officials, Brett Bartley ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into an SUV being driven by Clarence Holcombe. Bartley sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
At this time, a reason for the accident has not been given. Officials have not made mention of any possible contributing factors.
The accident is still being investigated.
