Capitol Reef National Park, UT — Two people were killed in an accident that took place on Route 24 in Utah’s Capitol Reef National Park. The driver of a Chevrolet truck was traveling along Route 24 when it drifted off the side of the road.
The driver attempted to come back onto the road, but over-corrected and collided with a passing Scion. There were two people inside, and both were killed on impact. Officials have said that both were not wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Sevier Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the Utah Highway Patrol is trying to ascertain whether or not the driver of the Chevrolet was impaired.
