SHERMAN, TX — A pedestrian has died following a crash in Sherman, Texas on Thursday, June 19th, 2014, according to the news release from KXII.
Texas State Police have said that they have reason to believe 70-year-old Julian Gann was killed after he was struck by a Toyota Prius immediately after exiting his vehicle to inspect the wreckage of a previous accident on Highway 75 around 5:00 Thursday morning.

Julian Gann was killed in the accident, although it is not abundantly clear if he died at the scene, or a short while later at a nearby hospital.
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, and expect to release more information as the case progresses.
Commentary:
This seems at first glance like an unavoidable accident, but the report indicates that there were two separate accidents on the road. If the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim saw the accident, and failed to take cautionary evasive action, was speeding, or distracted behind the wheel, there could be some serious questioned geared toward that driver if there is something major omitted or missing from the news report. Either way, this is surely in need of a closer look.
