ALEXANDRIA, MN — One man was killed after a tractor-trailer crash that happened in Twin Cities, Minnesota on Tuesday, June 10th, 2014, according to a news report from Twin Cities Pioneer Press.
The crash investigators working with local police have said that they have reason to believe 93-year-old was killed when the medical transport van in which he was a passenger collided with a tractor-trailer head-on after the truck crossed into the lanes of oncoming traffic around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

The 93-year-old victim was killed in the crash, while three other people in the van were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
Commentary:
This is one of those accidents where I see two ways that the investigation could go, but it really hinges on which one of the vehicles was the one that crossed the center line. If the driver of the truck was the one that did the crossing over, for whatever the reason may be – faulty vehicle, distracted driver, etc – then the company behind the truck driver would more than likely bear the brunt of the fault. The same logic applies to the medical van if the driver of that vehicle was the one that crossed. Either way, there is a very real possibility that not just a person, but a company behind their employer could be liable for this accident, and a second look is definitely warranted.
