Commentary:
The fact that the news article suggests that the vehicle accelerated uncontrollably raises a few questions about the condition of the vehicle at the time of the accident. We have all seen recent news reports about recalls, recall coverups, and manufacture defects. Recent recalls revolve around locking steering columns and sticking accelerators. While there is always a good chance this was an accident caused by the driver, we can never know for sure unless the car is inspected thoroughly for any problem.
