MARYDEL, DE — A head-on collision took the lives of two drivers in Marydel, Delaware on Saturday, June 7th, 2014, according to a news article from NBC Philadelphia.
Investigators believe that 18-year-old Zachary Rogers was killed when the vehicle he was in was struck head on by a Ford Escort that crossed the center line of traffic while driving on Halltown Road around 10:15 Sunday evening.

Zachary Rogers was killed in the crash, as well as the driver of the Escort, who was identified as Estanislao Lopez-Berduo.
Authorities are working to determine if alcohol is a factor in the accident.
Investigators hope to release more information about the accident in the coming days.
Commentary:
Alcohol related accidents can be many things, but rarely are they ever handled the same as your typical run-of-the mill car accidents. In states that have dram protections, bars can also be held liable for violating regulations that ensure they will serve alcohol responsibly. This means they will refuse service to anybody who exhibits signs of visible intoxication. If they fail to do so, and the customer is involved in a crash, the bar could be in some part liable if the facts line up properly.
