Leavenworth County, KS — An accident with a farm tractor sent three men to the hospital on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Leavenworth County, Kansas.

An Oldsmobile carrying Zachary Ingram and Seth Ingram was traveling along Kansas 32 when it rear-ended a tractor being driven by Charles Call. Call and Zachary Ingram were taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Seth Ingram was taken to Kansas University Medical Center.

Right now, it’s not clear whether or not the driver of the tractor was the owner or was on the job when the accident occurred. If this was an on the job accident, it’s possible that this could be a simple workers compensation claim. Because a third party was involved, the driver of the tractor would have a claim against them, which would be handled like any other insurance claim.

Depending on the amount of damage done, it’s possible that the third party’s insurance won’t be able to cover everything. In that case, the tractor driver could look to his own employer’s Uninsured Motorist coverage, which could make up the difference.

This is a basic rundown of how things would look had the accident occurred in Texas. Something similar may apply in other states as well.

I'm a former employee. I had brought up this exact scenario and suggested a maintenance procedure that would eliminate the possibility of this type injury. Obviously my warning went unheeded.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

A lot of people say smack about lawyers, but I want to say that I'm glad there is a way that people who are wronged by corporate neglect can get justice and force change. We are living in a world where corporations and govt care less than ever about common people, and I support your work. I hope I will never need your services.

Thank you for posting these accident articles on your site. At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
