HARRISON COUNTY, TX — A two-vehicle collision sent a Department of Public Safety Trooper to the hospital in Harrison County, Texas on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014, according to a news report from KLTV.
Authorities have said that they have reason to believe 26-year-old Trooper Tyson Chow was hurt when the patrol vehicle he was driving was struck broadside by another vehicle while attempting a U-turn on Highway 80 around 10:00 Tuesday evening.

Tyson Chow was taken to a nearby hospital where a hospital staffer last listed him in stable condition.
Investigators from the Texas State troopers are assisting with the crash.
Commentary:
If the victim was making a U-turn, there are a few questions I have about both the turn, and the other driver. If the victim was making an illegal U-turn, and caused the accident, there may not be much that can be done as far as that fact pattern is concerned. If the other vehicle was speeding, or the victim had the right-of-way, than more than likeley the other vehicle would bear the fault in the accident, but there needs to be a fresh pair of eyes looking at this accident to say for sure.
