Commentary:
Hit-and-run accidents can be hopeless, and when they involve tractor-trailers, things can become even more discouraging for the simple fact that it is almost certain that this vehicle is not a local vehicle that can be found by local police, but in actuality, proving that a truck was involved in an accident can be easier than a regular commercial vehicle simply due to the complex electronics these commercial vehicles are outfitted with lately. Once this truck is found, it is quite possible that the truck’s location at the time of the accident can be determined through it’s ECM, or Electronic Control Module that acts similarly to black boxes in commercial aircraft.
