VICTORIA, TX — One person has died and a child was injured following a home explosion in Victoria, Texas on Wednesday, May 27th, 2014, according to a news article from The Reporter News.
Investigators have said that they have reason to believe that 26-year-old Haley Singer was killed when the home she was exploded for reasons currently under investigation.
Scene of the Accident
Haley Singer was pronounced dead on the scene when they arrived. 4 month old Parker Singer was taken to a nearby hospital.
Officials from the Victoria Police Department is handling the crash investigation.
Commentary:
Any number of things could have caused this incident, but on the off chance there was a gas leak, I’d be curious to know where it was leaking from. If the gas was connected to a product that was malfunctioning, and seeped combustible gas into the residence, there could be a defect in the product, and the manufacturer of the product, or of the defective part could bear the liability for this if investigators line up the facts right. All it would take is a trained pair of eyes to comb over the rubble to determine where this blast originated from.
