WICKENBURG, AZ — One person has died following a two-vehicle tractor-trailer collision that happened in Wickenburg, Arizona on Thursday, May 29th, 2014, according to a report from The Tribune Town.
Investigators have said that they believe one person has died after an accident of an unspecified nature that included a tractor-trailer while driving on Highway 93 around 4:00 Thursday morning.

It is not clear if the victim was killed in the crash or if they were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital after the crash.
Officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety are in charge of the crash investigation.

The details in the news are virtually nonexistent, but the few that are there tell us quite a bit. The fact that the accident happened at 4:00 is the biggest red flag in my eyes. You may be surprised to learn that all truck drivers and trucking companies are not created equal. Some are like standard shipping, relaxed, five day timeframes, while others are premium overnight. These overnight drivers tend to be under a greater deal of pressure than the other drivers, and as a result, may push themselves to drive unsafe hours. If the driver had not taken a mandated brake, and caused this accident, the trucking company could be looking at some serious questions.
