Commentary:
While it does not mention it anywhere in the police report, I have a sneaking suspicion that this accident could have been alcohol related. Any time a hit-and-run happens after the 2:00 a.m. last call for bars, I cant help but to connect the dots. There are two kinds of people who drive away after an accident, those who are overcome with panic – but they usually come back a short time later. Then there are those that have something to hide. Maybe they were driving drunk. Maybe they were out when they were not supposed to be. Maybe they had an active warrant for their arrest. Either way, finding the driver should be the highest priority, but finding out where the driver was before the accident should be a close second.
