Commentary:
People need to understand that when you enter a car as a passenger, you are in a contract with the driver that says you will be a normal passenger, that you will not interfere with their driving, and in return, the driver agrees not to drive in a manner that is dangerous, and could cause harm. If the driver was drunk at the time of the accident, they could have violated this contract. Furthermore, if the driver became intoxicated at a bar after being over-served alcohol, the bar that fueled him could be liable for the accident right along side the driver, depending on how the facts line up. Either way, this accident needs to be examined further to get to the bottom of the facts and find out who could have prevented this accident, but failed to.
