Commentary:
Crossover accidents are largely caused by driver error, but assuming that is the case with every single one of them would be an irresponsible approach to investigation. Not once have I inspected a vehicle that was completely free of mechanical fault after an accident, and some of these vehicles were only thirty miles off the dealer lot. We have all seen in recent news that car manufacturers issue recalls all the time. The inherent problem with recalls? Accidents have to happen first, and often many more than one before the automaker takes notice. If this accident was caused by manufacturer defects, the evidence would be in the wreckage, and it could make them liable for the damages in the accident.
