SAN ANTONIO, TX — A single-vehicle accident killed one driver in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, May 13th, 2014, according to a news article released by My San Antonio.
Investigators with details of the crash investigation have said that they have reason to believe that 39-year-old Mark Martinez was killed when the Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving crashed into a control box that was just off the road while driving in the 8300 block of Interstate 10 just before midnight.
Scene of the Accident
Paramedics that responded to the scene pronounced Mark Martinez dead on the scene when they arrived. He was alone in the truck at the time of the accident.
Texas Highway Patrol are still investigating the crash.
Commentary:
I haven’t had a chance to look at the specific details behind the accident, but I’d be willing to bet nobody has sifted through the wreckage to see if anything went wrong with the vehicle. I’m sure at some point we have all seen a manufacturer recall revolving around sticking accelerators. I’m also sure that with each one of the accidents that involved a news article published after the accident that painted an unsavory picture of the victim. All it would take is a trained eye to look at the wrecked vehicle to determine if something horrible happened in the mechanical workings of this car.
