Commentary
Thankfully, alcohol doesn’t seem to have been a factor in this accident. It’s unfortunate, but whenever people see a group of college kids in an accident like this, alcohol is one of the first places their mind goes. The reports I’ve read say that speed may have been a possible factor. It’s also possible that the vehicle suffered some sort of mechanical failure. It may be a long shot, but in these situations, it’s best to explore all possibilities.
