Commentary:
When dealing with a situation like a school bus accident, or a police patrol vehicle hit your car, you may be wondering what can be done as the victim. Unfortunately, government entities have some very special protections private companies are not afforded. May of these entities have strict time-limits on notifying the agency of any pending legal action. This time limit acts as a firewall to protect these agencies from civil claims, and are largely effective in doing so. This is why with any government related accident, time is more important than in any other case, simply to narrowly avoid these stringent timelines set forth by the state. Additionally, there are significant caps and limits on what can be achieved in the suit, but these types of accidents are always worth a second look.
