Commentary:
Any time I show somebody a single-vehicle accident, they are all-too-fast to blame the driver. While this may be a safe bet, it is by no means the only angle to look at, and it certainly isnt subjective. Look at any car in a crowded mall parking lot on the weekend. What are the odds that the one you picked out to look at was fresh off the lot without a single mechanical problem, or worn out part. These odds would be slim to none. Now that we have established that mechanical errors are common in vehicles, is it really outside the realm of possibility that one of these errors could have caused the accident? If this turns out to be what happened, the manufacturer could be held accountable for the crash.
