Commentary
There’s a lot about this accident that unfortunately isn’t in the news reports. If the problem was a mechanical failure with the truck, then it’s possible that this may be a simple workers compensation claim. It really depends on what exactly the issue is. There needs to be an investigation into the truck, really as soon as possible, because the truth of the matter is that this accident may be the fault of a third party. Certain mechanical issues may be the fault of the manufacturer, and to be honest, you just can’t rely on someone who’s beholden to the workers comp system to communicate those facts to a victim or a victim’s family.
