According to news reports a fatal accident near Lady Bird Lakes jogging trails on May 7 2012 left Diana Pulido with multiple injuries including fractures. The accident happened when a 21-year old driver Joseph Rosales allegedly fell asleep while driving and struck Diana and another jogger.

The other jogger 80-year old John Griffith was killed immediately in the collision. Pulido was listed as in serious condition with a fractured shoulder clavicle and pelvis along with a fractured tibia and fibula. Sources say that Rosales may have been using Xanax at the time of the accident.
