DALLAS, TX — One driver is dead after a single-vehicle crash that happened in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, May 1st, 2014, according to a news report from The Dallas Morning News.
Police with details of the crash investigation have said that they have reason to believe 24-year-old Steven Frydman was killed when the Chevy Monte Carlo he was driving crashed while driving near the intersection of Hillcrest and Arapaho Road around 1:30 Thursday morning.

It is not immediately clear if Steven Frydman was killed in the accident, or if he was possibly taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at the time of writing.

Keeping in mind that alcohol was not mentioned in the news article, the fact that the accident happened at 1:30 in the morning, and the report indicates that they had left a pool hall before the accident, it really isn’t a giant leap to suspect alcohol. If alcohol turns out to be the cause of the accident, people may be wondering the liability implications. In Texas, if one person takes upon themselves to drink at home, it is up to them to do so responsibly. When that same person takes it upon themselves to drink at a bar, now there are bartenders and servers in the loop, with not only the ability, but the obligation to cut off any potentially intoxicated customers. If a bar is found to have over served the victim, the pool hall could be liable for the accident.
