Commentary
It’s hard to say what caused this accident, and before the investigation has concluded, we don’t want to jump to any conclusions. The accident took place late at night, so it’s very likely that visibility on that road played some role. This is something everyone out on the road late at night — especially people on bikes or scooters that may not be easily visible — should keep in mind. Reflectors help. Signaling lights help. If you’re in a bigger vehicle, like an SUV, it’s always important to keep an eye out, and to be conscious of those around you, especially when making turns and things of that nature.
