BAKERSFIELD, CA — Two people were killed in an accident that happened in Bakersfield, California on Friday, April 25th, 2014, according to a news report from TURNTO23.
Jamie Robertson was killed when a Ford Mustang collided with a tractor-trailer while driving on Highway 99 around 8:00 Friday night. It is not clear what may have caused the accident.

Authorities pronounced both Jamie Robertson and a young girl in the car with her dead at the scene when emergency responders arrived.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
Commentary:
I cannot help but notice news articles always favor tractor-trailer driver, when the writers of these articles are largely basing their facts off of police articles, when the people that write these reports are not trained accident investigators, but for the most part, traffic law enforcers. This is why most of the police reports in big accident cases are found to be at best incomplete, at worst, incorrect. This is why I advocate people conducting their own investigation. This is where time is a big factor, because evidence tends to vanish into junkyards before a trained eye can have a look at it.
