Commentary:
The common thread in conversations I have about single-vehicle accidents always seem to hover around blaming the driver, when we arent really equipped with the information necessary to make these kinds of decisions. I always ask these people what the odds are that the vehicle involved was in perfect swiss-watch working order at the time of the crash, because I have never once encountered such an accident, even when dealing with incidents involving vehicles fresh off the car lot. Its simply unheard of. Then I ask them if it really outside the realm of possibility that a mechanical error caused this accident, and the doors seem to open up, but overcoming the knee jerk reaction to blame the victim is always a chore in accidents like this one.
