Commentary
This accident is still being investigated, so we’ll need to wait until they’re finished before we know exactly what happened. I wasn’t there, so I can’t say for sure, but the news reports I’ve read make it seem as if those in the car were at fault for the accident. If there’s even the slightest bit of doubt that it was the truck driver, the trucking company is going to be all over it. Because these companies have so much at stake in accidents like these, they try to push off as much liability as they’re able to onto the other parties involved. That’s something those in the car at the time need to know as they move forward. Unfortunately, no matter how cut and dry accidents like these may seem from the outside, they rarely stay that way for long.
