Commentary
No matter how clear cut an accident may seem from a news report, there’s always the possibility that some detail was left out, or will be uncovered in the investigation that will make you see everything in an entirely new light. And that’s possible here. Maybe the driver of the motorcycle did something at the last second that caused the accident. If that’s the case, we’ll find out. But judging from what’s been reported so far. This doesn’t look good for the kids driving the car. Especially the driver, who only had a learner’s permit. Especially considering that Colorado law says whenever a teenager gets their license, they’re not allowed to drive with anyone under the age of 21 for the first six months. And in this case, all of the passengers were under the age of 21. Like I said, something that could come out that just changes everything, but right now, it looks like the driver put herself in a situation she wasn’t fully prepared for, and now this man she hit has paid for it.
