Commentary:
Most people who I talk to about accidents close to this one assume that because one of the drivers in the accident was ticketed after the crash, that means that fault is automatically assigned to this person. While it never really hurts a case, it’s not exactly the magic victory bullet either. Just as any other infraction in the country, the person has to be found guilty, and we all know that police make errors just as we do in their line of work. If the red-light runner is found to be the cause of the accident, then there may be a little more traction in the case. It always depends on how the facts line up, how much time has passed, and how much evidence is preserved.
