Commentary:
Whenever I see a commercial vehicle cross the center line of traffic, I cant help but wonder what the driver was up to when the accident happened. People really don’t realize that commercial drivers are just as prone to distraction on the road that your average motorist is. They rubberneck at accidents just like regular drivers, they play with their phones just like regular drivers, and they can be waylaid by GPS and radio equipment. All of these activities take eyes off the road, and can cause accidents. If this driver was distracted at the time of the crash, the trucking company could be facing some serious liability questions in the very near future.
