Fairfield, CT — An accident occurred in Fairfield, Connecticut, on March 30, on I-95, near Exit 22. The accident happened when Yvonne Sokol was spotted by witnesses speeding down the interstate, moving in and out of traffic.
As she was driving, Sokol’s vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler and burst into flames. Trapped inside, Sokol died at the scene.
Sokol was alone inside of her vehicle. The driver of the truck was not hurt. His name has not yet been released.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing. At this time, authorities aren’t sure why Sokol was driving erratically on the highway.
