Sun Valley, CA — A drunk driver was arrested on March 22 after causing an accident that left a police officer injured. The accident took place at the intersection of Lankershim Blvd. and Saticoy St. at around 5:30 in the evening.
The injured officer was stopped at a red light when Qaneak Cobb rear-ended him with a Chevrolet Blazer. Cobb was drunk at the time. The officer sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized in critical condition. There’s been no word on his current condition, although authorities have said that the officer has already undergone two surgeries.
Cobb was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

i witness the unfortunate accident and was right behind the motorcycle driver before he went in front of the driver, from the left side, The traffic was stopped it was the second stop and the officer was in front of us, and decided to go and look like he was making a right on Saticoy but last minute when the light turn green started to make a left in front of the two cars and then all of a sudden a accident it was surreal to say the least
oh there where two witnesses to this incident myself and George well three a friend it turns was coming from the opposite direction don’t know how much was seen but we where behind the motocycle officer then the suv in the accident
