HARTFORD, SD — A two vehicle accident killed one person in Hartford, South Dakota on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, according to the news report from KDLT.
Investigators have said that they have reason to believe Nicole Metcalf was killed when she was struck by a vehicle when she exited her car to tend to a flat tire while on Interstate 90 just after midnight Wednesday.

Emergency personnel transported Nicole Metcalf to a nearby hospital in a helicopter where she died a short time after her arrival. Another person in the vehicle was identified as David Blackmoon, who was also injuried in the accident.
The investigation is being handled by South Dakota Police Representatives.
