Longview, TX — There was an accident in the area of Whitney and Neal Streets in Longview, Texas, on Wednesday, April 2. A mechanic was working on a dump truck with a raised bed. The bed fell on the man, pinning him down. Longview firefighters responded to the accident and were able to free the man. He was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center for the treatment of his injuries. His condition is currently unknown.

So let’s a moment to explain what the means for the worker who was injured. If the dump truck that pinned him down belonged to the company he was working for, and there was nothing malfunctioning with it, or whoever was manning the controls that operated the bed was responsibly doing his job, this would fall under workers’ comp.
