SAN DIEGO, CA — A hit-and-run accident left a woman dead in San Diego, California on Friday, March 28th, 2014, according to the news report from NBC San Diego.
Authorities have said that they believe Rachel Morrison was killed when she was struck by a vehicle when she was walking with friends near the intersection of Camino Del Mar and Coast Boulevard.

Rachel Morrison was taken by EMS to nearby Scripps La Jolla Hospital where she died after she arrived. The driver of the offending vehicle was identified later as Christopher Stockmeyer, who currently faces drunk driving related charges in connection with the accident.
The investigation is currently underway.
