Commentary:
Many people would assume that the driver who was cited for the accident would be held responsible for it and they really couldn’t be farther from the truth. When you are issued a speeding ticket, you must face a judge before you pay your fine, and traffic accident citations are no different. Additionally, accidents between tractor-trailer can be very messy affairs. Each of the driver may be working off of a worker’s compensation claim, and possibly ones from differing states. To compound things further, each company will have a great deal of money fighting over liability.
