McIntosh County, CT — An 18-wheeler being driven by Mark Wright sideswiped another being driven by Kano Mohamed on Interstate 95 outside of Darien, CT. Mohamed’s truck was parked on the side of the road after its brakes locked up when Wright sideswiped him.
Authorities say that Mohamed had put out the correct warning signals for passersby, and Wright is being charged with failure to maintain his lane.

Commentary
Here we have two drivers, seemingly at two different ends of the spectrum. Mr. Mohamed, who from the report did everything he was supposed to do. And Mr. Wright, who we still have a lot of questions about. Because the accident is still being investigated, there isn’t a lot we can rule out. Reports say that neither driver was seriously hurt. Were they taken to a hospital? If so, what kind of tests did they have run? Really, the only driver I would have questions for would be Mr. Wright, as it was he who collided with the other truck. My questions would be fairly standard for a case like this: How long had he been driving? How long had it been since he last slept? Was he paying proper attention to his surroundings? As I said, these are fairly standard questions, and I’d ask them of anyone in these circumstances.
