Commentary:
While we don’t know what caused the accident, but there are a few details in the news report that raise a few questions. First and foremost, what were the conditions at the time of the accident? If the weather or roads were in poor condition, did the driver adjust their speed and following distance to avoid an accident? I have never once seen a vehicle crash or roll that was driving at a speed that was safe and appropriate for conditions. Keep in mind that this accident could have been caused by any number of factors, be it a tire blowout, or another driver swerving, the bottom line is assigning fault based on a news article would be a pretty big assumption.
