Coriscana, TX — A pickup truck rear-ended another truck (owned by a company) that resulted in two men being injured outside of Corsicana this past Monday, July 13, 2015. The news said that Roberto Rojas, 24, and Juan Rodriguez, 20, were both injured and taken to a local hospital in Tyler after the accident, which happened around 7:00 a.m. that morning. According to the news reports, both Rojas and Rodriguez were passengers in a white truck that accidentally rear-ended a work truck on Highway 31.
The work truck had been driving east on Highway 31 that morning, carrying lawn and maintenance workers, when the driver slowed down to turn into a parking lot.
As he did so, another pickup truck (believed to be the one pictured) came upon it and failed to brake in time, crashing into the back of the work truck.
Roberto Rojas and Juan Rodriguez were both in the white pickup truck and were injured such that they needed a medical helicopter to taken them to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
Four other people (believed to be workers in the lawn truck) were also taken to hospitals for their injuries as well, but they were not as badly hurt. Right now, the cause of the accident is still being investigated.
