Commentary:
Many would automatically assume that because the driver rear ended the garbage truck in this accident, that they’d be faulted, but are there other possibilities? Absolutely. The truck’s brake lights could have been covered in trash grime, or snow, or dirt from the road, making them nearly invisible. In this scenario, how would the victim have seen the truck slowing or stopping in front of them? Were there photos from the accident scene? If there are, this detail could mean quite a big difference in how this accident is viewed.
