St. Charles, IL — There was a fire that broke out earlier this month at the Midwest Powder Coating Company in St. Charles that injured at least one worker. The details haven’t been ironed out yet, but it appears that a worker was injured after a small explosion started a fire on the ground level of the large factory.
This happened on Friday, February 6, at about 10:30 a.m. in the morning. The worker who was injured was apparently near a “mixing vat” that morning when the explosion happened.
There’s still no word as to what exactly caused the explosion, but as a result, there’s an investigation being conducted by the company and possibly OSHA as well.
