BENTON, AR — Justin Metcalf and Robert East were identified as the two men killed in a car accident in Benton, Arkansas on Sunday, February 1st, 2015. Official police reports said that the accident happened around 2:45 Sunday morning.
Police said both Justin Metcalf and Robert East were killed when the cars they were in collided on Highway 70 for reasons currently under investigation. State Police believe one of the vehicles, a Kia Sorento, and a Chevy Tahoe collided after one of the vehicles may have crossed the center line of traffic. The report does not specify which vehicle crossed over.
Metcalf and East were killed in the crash. Passengers Natasha Gordon and Courtney Jackson were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Arkansas State Police are still investigating the accident.

Commentary:
While we don’t quite have the information from the accident needed to speculate on fault, more than likely, whichever vehicle is found to have crossed over is going to be the faulted party. This can be determined through witness statements, skid marks on the road, and where impact debris was scattered on the road. Since we don’t have all the facts yet though, I can’t pinpoint what happened, but would like to.
