Commentary
I’m sure the truck driver in this accident didn’t mean for this to happen. But truck drivers are held to a higher standard because they’re capable of causing such damage with their vehicles. And if a truck driver is already supposed to have a heightened sense of awareness, shouldn’t that be even more heightened when it’s foggy out? Sometimes the weather is bad. If a driver can’t adjust, they shouldn’t be driving. This accident wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been, but there has to be some accountability.
