With any kind of alcohol related accident that happens in the State of Texas, victims and family of victims are always surprised to learn that the bars can be held liable for drunk driving accidents if their customer caused it and the bar failed to serve them in a safe or responsible fashion as dictated by state laws and regulations. This means if the whereabouts of the offending driver is found to be a licensed liquor seller or server, and the bartender did not cut off the customer when they were visibly intoxicated, or served too many drinks in a short amount of time, then the establishment can and should be punished right along side the drunk driver.
