This is a rare occurrence, sure, but by no means is it the first of its kind. I’d be very interested in seeing the layout of the roadway where the accident took place, and if the victim was passing legally. If the victim was in a legal passing zone, and the farm vehicle turned without looking, the farm vehicle could be at fault. If the accident happen in a no passing zone, the farm vehicle still could be liable for failing to make sure the path he was turning into was clear before he made the maneuver.
