RICHARDSON, TX — One man was killed in a single-vehicle accident that happened in Richardson, Texas on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014, according to a news report from WFAA.
Investigators believe 42-year-old Miguel Sanchez was killed when the car he was in crashed into Praire Creek near the Bush Tollway and Highway 75.
Scene of the Accident:
Miguel Sanchez was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency responders when they arrived. Sanchez is believed to have been alone in the vehicle when it crashed, and no other injuries were detailed in the report.
The investigation into the accident is currently underway.
Whenever I see a vehicle driver off the road to this significant of a degree, I cant help but wonder if a mechanical failure was to blame for the crash. Normally, vehicles will hop a curb and hit an object in the immediate vicinity. When a vehicle travels far off the road, it could be a sign of a stuck accelerator, or a health emergency suffered by the driver. As we all know with recent events in the news, stuck accelerators are a real and common occurance, and the car manufacturer could be liable for the accident if this turns out to be the case.
