Swansboro, NC — Police have arrested and brought Michael Chappell up on drunk driving charges in an accident that claimed the life of Douglas Cowser.
Cowser was a passenger in Chappell’s SUV on the evening of April 23, when he crashed his vehicle on Crown Point Road outside of Swansboro, North Carolina. The accident took place around 6:30 in the evening.
According to reports, Cowser was thrown from the vehicle and pinned beneath it.
Police tested Chappell and have said that he registered a .10 blood alcohol content.
