Sgt. Danny Wiggins was reportedly injured in a serious car accident between hit police patrol car and an allegedly drunk driver. According to the news reports, Wiggins was at the corner of Kell and Taft Boulevards when he was hit from behind by a vehicle. Terrell, TX news reports said that a single-car accident along a gravel road left five people injured on September 28, 2012. Local news reports said that a police officer was injured in Dunwoody, GA after his patrol car was hit from behind. Sources said that Officer Richard Heintz was in his patrol, which was parked in an off-limits construction lane, when he was hit by a vehicle traveling approximately 45 mph. According to local news reports, Beaumont Police Officer Ronald Patton was injured in an accident along Interstate 10 that involved a semi-truck losing a load of tires. The reports said that a semi-truck was westbound along I-10 at approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 28, 2012 when the doors to its trailer flung open.
