According to local news reports, a pedestrian in College Station was struck and injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident. According to the news reports in Corpus Christi, an 8th grade student was struck and injured by an SUV on September 27, 2012. Source said that a 13-year old boy was walking to Grant Middle School at about 8:45 a.m. when he was hit by an SUV. A three-car accident in Barnegat Township, NJ happened on September 26, 2012 and left three people injured. According to Barnegat news reports, 84-year old Mary Ross was driving north along Route 9 when she turned in front of a southbound pickup truck, causing a collision. A motorcyclist was reportedly injured in a collision between a pickup truck and a man’s motorcycle on September 28, 2012 in Corpus Christi. San Antonio, TX authorities said that a 42-year old unnamed man was injured in a train-pedestrian accident on September 27, 2012. Police in San Antonio said that the man was walking along the tracks near Brazo and Kemper Streets at approximately 10:00 a.m. when he was hit by a Union Pacific train. According to Houston, TX news reports, a man was critically injured in a serious single-vehicle accident that happened on September 25, 2012. The Houston police reported that a man, described only as “in his twenties,” was driving a black, 2-door coupe along Highway 90 when he was reportedly swerved in traffic and crashed into a pillar at Sam Houston Parkway North. Jimmy Taylor Jr. was reportedly injured in a collision between his bicycle and a Cadillac Escalade that happened on September 11, 2012 in Breckenridge, TX. The California legislature is the third in the nation to approve driver-less automobiles for it’s roadways.  On September 25th, California Governor, Jerry Brown, signed into law senate bill 1298 which makes the automated vehicles legal and authorizes California’s department of motor vehicles to regulate applicable safety protocols for the cars.
