On January 30 2008 a deadly car accident causes a traffic backup on Highway 288 at Reed Road. The single vehicle accident occured shortly before 11 AM when the south bound car came across the median and struck a concrete barrier on the northbound side of the highway. The driver of the car died at the scene.
A Midland TX school bus accident sends one student and the bus driver to the hospital on the afternoon of January 31 2008. The accident occured when the school bus was rear ended by an SUV. The rest of the students were transfered to another bus and arrived home shortly thereafter.
An automobile accident resulting in a vehicle rollover occured in Nacagdoches Tx early this year. The accident occured when the driver of Ford Expedition SUV failed to yield to oncoming traffic resulting in a collision with a Pontiac causing the Pontiac to rollover. Investigators looking into last months explosion at T2 Laboratories Incsaid 33 people were injured in the accident more than twice what wasinitially reported.
Many of the injuries were the result of falling debris from structuraldamage to offsite buildings. The explosion killed four T2 employees.

Matthew Thebeau 25 who had been with the department fornearly two years was traveling southbound on Crosstown Expressway near
Thebeaus patrol car struck the barrier dividing thenorthbound and southbound lanes of Crosstown Expressway straddling it andsliding along it for about 50 yards until it struck a light pole and I-beamsupporting a highway sign Police Chief Bryan Smith said.
Thebeau was ejected from his patrol car and landed in thenorthbound lane and was struck by at least one vehicle police officials said.
Thebeau was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial wherehe was pronounced dead. An investigation is under way. Smith said thedepartment was interviewing nine witnesses including the driver of a vehiclethat struck Thebeau. The motorcyclist has not been located Smith said.

An 18-year-old was charged with intoxication manslaughter in a crash that sent seven people to the hospital killing one.
Police said Humberto Vasquez ran a red light in a Ford Explorer in the 1200 block of North Buckner Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday and crashed into a blue Honda Civic causing it to roll. Three females were in the Civic.
The Explorer then crashed into a Honda Element according to police. The driver was injured but the two passengers were not.
Police said Vasquez was taken to Parkland Hospital in critical condition. Police said they found beer cans in his car and that Vasquez will be charged with intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault.
Two passengers in the Explorer were hospitalized in serious condition.
The 18-year-old girl driving the Civic died a few hours later. The passengers in the Civic Ivan and Jeanette Del Rio were taken to Baylor Medical Center in serious condition.
