Friday, July 26th 2013 — Kevin Lucero, 14, was identified in reports as the teenager that was allegedly struck by a car in Ft. Collins, CO on Friday. Lucero was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies where he was admitted in critical condition following the accident. No information was available regarding the specifics of Lucero’s injuries in initial reports.
Scene of the Accident:
The boy was allegedly struck by a 2001 Lincoln sedan driven by 89-year-old Olen Gibson at about 11:15 a.m. on John F. Kennedy Parkway. Investigation into the accident is still underway, and authorities have asked that any potential witnesses to the accident contact them to aid investigation. No citations have been issued, and no charges have been filed.
