Two Dallas, TX police officers hurt after their squad car is hit by drunk driver.

 

On Friday, July 23, a drunk driving accident in Dallas, TX left two police officers injured.  The crash occurred at the St. Mary Avenue and Linsley Avenue intersection.  Early reports indicate that a drunk driver was fleeing the scene of a previous accident, when he allegedly ran a stop sign.  After running the stop sign, the man T-boned the squad car occupied by the two officers.  The officers, who were not identified, are thankfully expected to recover from their injuries.  The driver of the other car is being charged with numerous crimes, including intoxicated assault against a police officer.  The accident remains under investigation.
